Biko tonight

Just got back from another s-o-l-i-d show at the biko house.
This weekend was kind of...
well I guess i pulled some bad moves.
(from what i heard i feel like i was acting like a dumb ass all night)
so be it. I still had a good time.
The picture is from the weekend. I decided to talk on the mic while the next band was setting up. Apparently i talked for too long. Awesome.
Here's to the Gentleman's club.

gah
I have a thousand words left to write on this paper and suddenly I get the strange feeling in my perception of things. It is like the situation in being john malkovich, but with me.
Being Garrett Ward, i wonder if the person is having a good time reading my most interesting paper on truth not being absolute.

yo yo yo

Well it has been a while, has it not? I don't really even know what to talk about. Of course there have been the shows. I've been been diving into the kcsb radio library, so i'm head deep into music. I wouldn't want it any other way. Flavin and jared made their way up to visit this weekend, but i don't think showed them a good time. Nothing was going on friday night.
Last night was awesome. We attended the democrat party, which was surprisingly awesome. Definitely one of the best parties i've been to. Half of the reason is because of who i met.
Other than that i've just been reading and writing. reading and writing. reading and writing.
Stories.
Forrest is reading watchmen, so i'll have someone to talk to when he is done. Such a great story.
I miss...
my cat.
the cooking.
matty
hangtime.
a picture of my brothers.
maybe i'll come home next week.

I'm now a dj for UCSB's am radio station, KJUC. This quarter AM, next quarter FM? Hopefully.
My show is on tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. You can't really hear it, but i'm going to try to make webcasts for my blog so you can give it a whirl.

October 4th
quite an interesting night.
quite.
i headed off to the buss stop to go to the david byrne concert, when i found genevieve and sydney trying to get to the zoo for their boo at the zoo audition. It was nice to not have to ride the buss alone. We had to take the slower buss to downtown, but it was fine because sydney shared some of her photos from home. we also had some good conversations about costumes, sweatshirts, radio proposals, and they seem to have an inside joke between them about my interest in birkenstocks. more on that when i discover new information.
When we arrived in downtown we split ways. I immedietly went to find the venue and a place to munch and mulch.
The show was great. Byrne was a solid performer through out. He got the audiance jumping and dancing. Then he played his talking heads material. The crowed really got going. The man just knows how to perform. Even better though was that he played 4 encores, almost pushing 5...it was close. Everyone was howling and letting out the energy. The only bummer had to be that no one could really get down and lay out the funk. The show got out at ten and my buss left at 11, so i decieded to ride back to school from state street. It was brutal. I took the coastal bike path, where i found many climbs and little down hill action. To be frank, it took a majority of my energy to complete that bike ride. A few times i felt like i strayed away from the actual path, which actually made my journey that much longer and tiresome. But it was a cool, it was a nice dark ride and i was plenty confused, but the experience was worth it.
I rode to UCSB from downtown SB. Take that and eat it up...
but seriously i don't recommend riding back without any lights. It is not a good idea.
The night ended with nachos at freeb!rds and lebowski at my room. Alex and his friends came back a little sauced. zack was the first hack for our bathroom. He may have been at the level beyond sauced.
The night was fun and long.
Hopefully i sweat out my cold on the bike ride.
I'm listening to paul beribeau, check it out.
He also has some other myspaces that have different songs. I recommend finding the song "I'll never know".
